Running a website takes a lot of hard work and dedication. I do not make any money from running this site or its affiliated social media accounts. This has become a passion project of mine and I absolutely LOVE spreading some holiday cheer to the community! The whole concept for “Holiday Houses on Long Island” started back during the height of Covid… When everything in the world was closed down, but I didn’t want to miss out on celebrating the holidays with my husband and two young children. I started making lists of homes that went all out during the holidays and decorated, so that we could take car rides as a family and still enjoy some magic of the holidays, despite the rest of the world being seemingly empty. A Facebook group that once had only a few members, has now grown to over 47,000 people! Driving around seeing decorated homes has since become our family’s favorite tradition, and I hope to continue on with this for many years to come since I’ve come to see and learn how much joy and fun it has passed onto other families as well. Running Holiday Houses on Long Island takes a great deal of time away from my family though, especially around the holidays, and I invest HOURS of my time into doing this.
